Hematology unit at MPPHL is concerned with the study of the cause, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to blood. It has the following sub-units:
- Routine Hematology Unit: CBC, ESR, absolute count, fluid cell count, Reticulocyte count, Peripheral Blood smears, hemoparasites detection.
- Coagulation Unit: Coagulation: PT, APTT, D-dimer, FDP
- Special Hematology unit:
- Flow cytometer for leukemia diagnosis
- HbA1c
- Electrophoresis
